Urban Street Angels was recently profiled on Giving Tuesday, an international day of civic engagement celebrated annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Lauren Gutierrez and Lilli Ethier spoke with KUSI’s Allie Wagner on November 26th about our program’s partnership with the Youth Assistance Coalition and our critical mission to serve the 1,500 transition-age youth sleeping nightly on the streets of San Diego. They discussed Timmy’s Place, our successful pizza and print shop that employs transition-age youth. Lilli, a graduate of our program, also talked about her incredible journey to success via Urban Street Angels.

Later, on November 27th, the two spoke with Teresa Sardina about our shelter and our recently added 70-bed housing unit.

Our thanks to these incredible ladies and the KUSI team for helping us spread word of our mission to end youth homelessness! Giving Tuesday may have passed, but it’s not too late to make a difference by supporting Urban Street Angels today.
